Abstract

Kadilangu Village in Demak Regency is an area of the former Perdikan Village. According to information, lands in Kadilangu cannot be certified. Based on the land book documents, there are only thirty-seven land books. The purpose of this study was to determine the status of land in Kadilangu Village. Knowing the obstacles that occur so that it is difficult for lands in Kadilangu to be certified. Finding the right solution and policy so that the lands in Kadilangu can be certified. The method used in this research is sescriptive qualitative with normative juridical and empirical juridical approaches. The results of the study explain that the status of land in Kadilangu Village can be categorized as customary land. This was reviewed by the existence of the letterc document at the Kadilangu Village Office since the 1960s. According to information, the letter-c document is no longer in use. Obstacles that make it difficult for land in Kadilangu to be certified because the subject of land rights is not yet clear. This is seen from the claim of the Sunan Kalijaga Kadilangu Foundation which states that the lands in Kadilangu are assets inherited by Sunan Kalijaga for his descendants. On the other hand, the lands in Kadilangu also experienced a transition through buying and selling, grants, land distribution and so on. This is indicated by the existence of a land transfer document at the Kadilangu Village Office. This means that land tenure other than the descendants of Sunan Kalijaga in Kadilangu can be recognized. The solution for the lands in Kadilangu is that it is necessary to carry out an inventory of the land first. The goal is to classify land according to control and clarify the boundaries of land parcels. The first group is land that is entitled to be controlled by the community. The second group is land that will be used as assets from the Sunan Kalijaga Kadilangu Foundation. After that, it can be followed up with land registration at the Demak Regency Land Office so that the lands in Kadilangu are certified. Keywords: Kadilangu, Sunan Kalijaga, Perdikan Village.
