Abstract

The ATR/BPN Ministry is carrying out digital transformation in the framework of electronic services in the form of digitizing land records. However, this activity does not guarantee that digitized archives will become authentic archives like physical archives. Authentication is needed to emphasize the benefits of digital land records. On the other hand, authentication will provide a legal use value that can make digital land records a valid evidence in court. The purpose of this study was to analyze the implementation of digitization and authentication of Measurement Letters, Land Books and DI 208 Warkah at the Wonogiri District Land Office. Researchers will also analyze the need for authentication of digital land records and whether digital land records can be authentic evidence in court. This study uses a qualitative approach and descriptive research type. Based on the research results, information was obtained that the implementation of digitization and authentication of land records at the Wonogiri Regency Land Office was not fully in accordance with the ATR/BPN Ministry Circular Letter Number 5/SE-100.TU.02.01/VIII/2019 and PERKA ANRI Number 20 of 2011. Even though authentication is needed to confirm the benefits of digital archives. Digital land archives also cannot be used as legal evidence because not all the principles in the ITE Law are implemented. Keywords: Authentication, Digital Land Archives, Legal Evidence.
