Abstract
Procurement of land for development in the public interest provides proper and fair compensation to those who are entitled to their losses. the party entitled is the party that controls or owns the land acquisition object, which can be an individual, legal entity, social agency, religious agency, or government agency. The strategy of demanding compensation money has the aim of meeting the needs in supporting life. Sources of life are influenced by many factors, so a strategy is needed to meet household needs. The method used in this study is qualitative with a descriptive approach to data collection using interviews, interviews, and observation techniques. Data were collected by interview using the purposive sampling method with 12 informants including the Head of Pepe Village, Pepe Village Officials, Communities who are entitled and live in Pepe Village with the procurement of land in the form of communities buying agricultural land. Based on the results of the study, it was found that compensation money for the rightful party was utilized for productive purposes first compared to consumptive purposes. Land acquisition for the construction of the Solo-Jogja Toll Road can have a positive impact on the community. The compensation money received is used as business capital, buying land, building houses, buying vehicles.
