Abstract

The Sedulur Sikep community continues to face the lingering stigma of being perceived as old-fashioned, secluded, and dissident, especially with regard to their interactions with the state's regulations and initiatives. This perception is inextricably tied to the government's land registration scheme. The implementation of land registration within the Sedulur Sikep community has been fraught with difficulties throughout time. Nonetheless, this approach has progressed while embracing the innate local wisdom that supports the way of life in the community. This study aims to shed light on the development of land registration in the context of the Sedulur Sikep community, with a specific emphasis on Klopoduwur Village in Blora Regency. Utilizing a mixed-method and a comprehensive investigation was conducted within the Sedulur Sikep community of Klopoduwur Village. Moreover, the findings highlight the dynamic nature of land registration when incorporated with the community's ubiquitous local wisdom, encapsulated in the principles of Saminism. Notably, the actualization of land registration has undergone continuous evolvement, influenced both by the program's policies and the community's response. Contrary to common misconceptions of the Sedulur Sikep Community's adversarial attitude toward government initiatives, this study reveals that such perceptions are not entirely factual, especially when viewed in the context of Klopoduwur Village, Blora Regency. The community's engagement to existing government programs suggests a more nuanced and multifaceted cooperation that transcends beyond stereotypical assumptions.
