Abstract

The rapid environmental development in an area results in the emergence of slum environments caused by increasing population, as well as increasing industrial and trade activities. One way to deal with slum environments is through the Land Consolidation program. The implementation of Land Consolidation often results in failure, so there is a need for examples of successful implementation of the program. This research aims to determine the progress of the land consolidation program in relation to environmental conditions after Land Consolidation, determine the inhibiting and driving factors, as well as the socio-economic impact. This research was conducted using a survey method with a mixed method approach. Data collection methods using questionnaires, interviews, observation and literature study. The results of this research are that the implementation of Land Consolidation runs in accordance with applicable regulatory provisions and achieves improvements in environmental quality and has a good impact on the socio-economic impact of the community. The results of the implementation of Land Consolidation in Penawangan Village can be used as a reference for the level of success if a similar program is duplicated in a similar location and can determine efforts to overcome problems that arise later during the implementation.
