Abstract

Sewon Subdistrict, Bantul Regency already has an RDTR, but there are still buildings being erected in areas that have been designated as agricultural zones. This problem must be addressed immediately because limited space needs to be managed, regulated, utilized and controlled in order to achieve environmental balance according to its carrying capacity. Land use predictions aim to make it easier to make decisions regarding development and spatial planning, especially regarding the scope of implementation and supervision of spatial planning implementation. The method used in this research is an exploratory sequential method with a spatial approach. This research aims to analyze the area and distribution of agricultural land conversion, influencing factors, control efforts, and implementation of space utilization control policies in Sewon Subdistrict. Based on the results of the analysis that has been carried out, there will be a change in the use of rice fields to built-up land from 2023 – 2038 covering an area of 71,100 Ha (5.989%). This is influenced by two factors, namely external and. Therefore, the Bantul Land Office and the Land and Spatial Planning Department along with the local subdistrict government have made several efforts to minimize land conversion, the success of implementation of which is influenced by several factors, both encouraging and inhibiting.
