Abstract

Management of regional assets can realize people's welfare and add value for the government in supporting government operations. Several problems were found in the implementation of land and/or building asset management in the City of Yogyakarta which led to this condition. It could be said that the management of land and/or building assets by the Yogyakarta City Government was disorderly. This research will examine asset management mechanisms that occur in the field, problems and security solutions. As well as looking for the percentage of asset management that produces income, namely in the form of rent to Original Regional Income. The method used is a descriptive qualitative method with data analysis techniques in the form of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions and descriptive quantitative with data analysis techniques in the form of descriptive statistics. Based on the results of the study carried out, the management of land and/or building assets by the Yogyakarta City Government is in accordance with existing regulations. The problems faced come from the community and also regional agencies, so the solutions used are to build synergy between agencies. Then land and/or building rental income contributes a percentage of <1% to Yogyakarta City Regional Original Income from 2013-2022. The small contribution is because the government is not oriented towards making profits, but still optimizes asset management.
