Abstract

The development of KCJB became one of the government's efforts to boost economic growth through public transport services because with the existence of this development can facilitate the accessibility of one region with another. The development of the KCJB is in the public interest because it is carried out on the basis of the interests of the nation of the people by revoking land rights and giving compensation due under the law. Jatimulya village, Tambun South district, Bekasi district is one of the areas affected by the KCJB land acquisition that caused the process of land liberation in Jatimulya Village. Therefore, this research is carried out to know the impact of KCJB development on the social and economic conditions of the affected people and to know other factors that have caused the occurrence of the socio-economic conditions of people after the Land Procurement of the KCJB development and also to know solutions to deal with it. The method used in this research is to use a qualitative approach with survey methods through interviews. The positive impact of the construction of the KCJB is an increase in people's income, the availability of jobs, the continuation of social activities in the society, as well as no conflict between citizens nor social disparity among citizens. As to its negative impact, the existence of some citizens who lose jobs, a decrease in the population in the Jatimulya Village and the emergence of conflict of citizens against the party of PT. KCIC due to construction of towers. In addition, another factor that caused the social and economic conditions of the people in the Jatimulya Village is the level of differences which caused differences in the mindset and lifestyle of people in that village. The solution for the negative impact of the development of KCJB is PT. KCIC should conduct socialization about the construction of a tower to minimize the occurrence of community social conflicts and responding to the results of the meeting with the Jatimulya Village community who asked for compensation related to the construction of a tower that was considered disadvantaged to the Jatimulya Village community. In addition, the solution that can be done to overcome the negative economic impacts in the village is the need for mapping based on social and economic aspects that aim to find opportunities and employment opportunities for the surrounding community.
