Abstract

The Code River is supposed to be a conservation area but is used for residential areas. Land limitations and the lack of urban spatial planning systems in providing housing needs for residents have led to illegal and irregular settlements around the riverbanks. This research was conducted to determine the process of arranging Jogoyudan slums through relocation and its impact from environmental, social, and economic aspects The research method that will be applied in this study is the qualitative method of descriptive analysis. This research will be carried out field observation activities, conducting interviews, and documentation at the research location. The results of this study show that the success of slum arrangement through relocation can be seen from the list of slum locations in Yogyakarta City in 2021 that slum settlements in Kapanewon Gowongan no longer exist and the development of vertical villages in the form of Jogoyudan Rental Simple Flats has a positive impact on environmental, social, and economic aspects when compared to the conditions before the construction of Jogoyudan Rental Simple Flats.
