Abstract

Land demand in Indonesia continues to increase along with population growth and regional development. This has an impact on the emergence of settlements that are built without regard to the rules and functions of the area. The proliferation of settlements that are not properly controlled results in a decrease in the quality of the region. One of the government's efforts in handling slums is through the land consolidation program. One of the land consolidations that is currently underway as a slum rejuvenation program is land consolidation in Pringgokusuman Village, Yogyakarta City. Apart from its environmental arrangement, the interesting thing about land consolidation in Pringgokusuman is related to the object of land consolidation which is Sultanate land. The focus of this study is on the process of land consolidation carried out, obstacles and solutions from related parties, as well as the impacts that have arisen from the development that has been carried out. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Thus, it can be clearly described through the process from beginning to end which includes planning, implementation of both the arrangement of tenure and land use, development of results, and supervision. The land consolidation in Pringgokusuman Village will be carried out in 5 stages of development, in which stage 1 development has been completed as of February 2024. The object of Kasultanan land in this land consolidation causes the regulation of asset management to exist only in the control arrangement, where the community controls the land with a new serat kekancingan on the new land area after land consolidation. The obstacles that are currently still in the process of being resolved are related to the issuance of the serat kekancingan itself. Meanwhile, the impacts that have emerged are in the form of physical development impacts that have been felt by the community directly, namely roads, houses and their facilities, as well as the construction of WWTPs and gutters.
