Abstract

A Geographic Information System is a system that provides the ability to collect, manage, analyze and display data related to the earth's surface. One way of designing a website-based information system can be as a means of information in the dispute control and handling section in presenting information on dispute issues. The Surabaya City II Land Office was chosen as the case study location because this area has less efficient land management data. The aim of this research is to design an innovation in the form of an information system as an effort to improve the quality of public services in the form of a website to provide easy and fast access for employees and is expected to reduce the time and space needed to access and manage information. The method used in this research is the R&D (Research and Development) method which focuses on research to develop a technology that can be used to meet needs and test the effectiveness of the product. This research includes needs analysis, system design, and information system testing. The results obtained are that the web-based land problem data management information system was successfully designed and built well, to meet the needs of the Surabaya City II Land Office. This system is able to integrate various data related to land issues, so that it can facilitate management and access to information. Based on an evaluation carried out using the black box method against the feasibility criteria, this system was proven to be suitable for use in daily operations at the Surabaya City II Land Office.
