Abstract

The development of infrastructure is one of the efforts from government in order to fulfill the needs of the community. One of them is the construction of the Way Sekampung Regulating Dam in Pringsewu District. Development require land as the location of implementation obtained through land acquisition activities. The land acquisition of Way Sekampung Dam was implemented in 2015 and was finished in 2021. However, after its operation, the project has brought about changes in the physical, social and economic environmental conditions. As a result of these changes, the construction of the dam has resulted in the emergence of the physical environmental impact that affects the life of people who lives nearby, around the development, social and economi impact felt by the entitled parties after the acquisition of the land of the Way Sekampung Dam. The study aims to analyze the changing conditions and the impact of large-scale project construction. Research uses qualitative methods using descriptive approaches. The impact on the physical environment is known from widespread changes in land use, and access to the road network, while the social and economic impact is known of social interaction, the change of occupation, as well as the income of the entitled party. Physical environmental impact analysis by performing overlays using ArcGIS, analysis for social and economic environmental impacts using qualitative analysis techniques and using primary and secondary data sources gathered through the interpretation of images, interviews, observations and document studies. The study showed that land acquisition of the Way Sekampung Dam has a change and impact on the physical environmental conditions, including widespread changes in land use, resulting in the emergence of new types of use and changing the irrigation system of the community as well as changing access and distribution of the road network around the development area. In the social and economic impact found changes in social interaction, changes in occupation and fluctuations in the income conditions of entitled parties. As a result of the impact, management of the physical, social and economic environment is needed support from various parties. Keywords: land acquisition, change, impact.
