Abstract

The land acquisition of the Jogja-Bawen toll road have an impact on the communities in the Margokaton Sub-Distict. The impact on society is the change in land use and the socio-economic change in society. This research aims to: (1) Know the changes in land use that occur after the acquisition of toll roads; (2) Know the socio-economic impact that occurs when the acquisitions of toll road; (3) Know the relationship between changes in the use of land affected by the project of land acquisition and the social and economic impact of the community; and (4) Know the efforts to reduce the negative socio- economic impact . The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data obtained through satellite images of the Margokaton Sub-Distict for 2020 and 2024, as well as primary and secondary data. Primary data is derived from the results of interviews and observations carried out by researchers in the Margokaton Sub-Distict, whereas secondary information is deriving from reports or documents that are located in Margokaton Sub-Distict. The results of this study show that the land use of the suburban type has experienced the greatest change with a percentage of 64.27%. However, the socio-economic conditions of the people in Margokaton Sub-Distict have not changed in terms of occupation. Changes in land use and socio-economic changes have connections that have an impact on the lives of people in the Margokaton Sub-Distict. An effort that can be made to reduce the negative socio-economic impact is to organize socialization or training to the community that lives around Jogja-Bawen toll road location. The effort that can be implemented by holding socialization and assistance in community empowerment. Keywords: Land acquisition, land use, social economics conditions.
