Abstract

The development of an area often faces problems, one of which is related to land and its use. The need for land is influenced by the activities in the area; the more complex the activities, the more diverse the land needs. With the increasing population, the need for housing or settlements increases, which in turn triggers changes in land function. The aim of this research is to determine the changes in land use from agricultural and residential areas to educational services, as well as the factors influencing the conversion of land use in Sumberagung Village, Kapanewon Moyudan. The methods used in this research are quantitative with a spatial approach and qualitative with a descriptive approach. The aim of this research is to examine the changes in land use from rice fields to residential areas and educational services, as well as the factors influencing the conversion of land use in Sumberagung Village, Moyudan District. The method used in this research is a descriptive quantitative approach with spatial analysis. The results of the spatial analysis show a shift from rice fields to built-up areas. Factors causing these changes in land use include population density and changes in built-up areas. Sleman Regency, which is part of the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province. Land use is a crucial element in regional planning. In the context of a city, regional planning includes regulating land use in the area. This process involves the implementation of the established land use plan. In the Sleman Regent Regulation Number 57 of 2021 concerning the Detailed Spatial Plan for the West Sleman Area for 2021-2041, Moyudan District is part of the Sustainable Food Agriculture Area (KP2B). Data from Moyudan for the period 2020 to 2023 shows that there has been an 8% conversion of agricultural land within five years in Moyudan District.Keywords: Land Function Expert, Area, and Land.
