Abstract

Sustainable Food Agricultural Land (LP2B) is a strategic instrument in supporting national food security and sovereignty. However, its implementation across various regions still faces challenges, particularly due to uncontrolled land conversion and the lack of parcel-based data. Temanggung Regency, as an agrarian region, has designated LP2B areas through Regional Regulation No. 2 of 2014. Nonetheless, inconsistencies between mapped data and actual field conditions—especially in Ngadirejo District—remain evident. This study aims to utilize land parcel data as the basis for updating LP2B data to achieve greater accuracy. A quantitative spatial approach was applied. The land use analysis in Ngadirejo District identified 23 land use classes, dominated by rice fields cultivated once per year followed by secondary crops, covering an area of 1,412.43 hectares (37.91%). Land suitability analysis revealed that 1,632.95 hectares (97.88%) of land aligned with the LP2B designation, while 35.40 hectares (2.12%) did not, with the highest discrepancy found in Gejagan Village. Scoring and weighting of physical variables across seven villages showed high potential (Class I) for LP2B on 62.40% of the area, medium potential (Class II) on 11.83%, and low potential (Class III) on 25.77%. The land availability analysis indicated the highest category—available for LP2B optimization—covered 445.87 hectares or approximately 2,240 land parcels. The LP2B data update recommendation analysis identified ±2,283 parcels (427 ha) as highly recommended, ±252 parcels (46.09 ha) as recommended, ±119 parcels (50.73 ha) as conditionally recommended, and ±8,306 parcels (335.57 ha) as not recommended.
