Abstract
Land use change in urban areas such as Yogyakarta City is an inevitable phenomenon due to increased development activities and population growth. These changes need to be assessed in accordance with the spatial direction, namely RDTR, so that spatial utilization remains controlled and sustainable. This research aims to analyze the suitability of land use changes in 2014-2019 against the 2015-2035 RDTR of Yogyakarta City, analyze the suitability of land use against the RDTR of Yogyakarta City before and after the enactment of the 2021-2041 RDTR, and predict the suitability of land use in 2029 against the 2021-2041 RDTR of Yogyakarta City. The method used is comparative descriptive with a spatial approach and predictive modeling using the MOLUSCE plugin on QGIS with the Cellular Automata-Artificial Neural Network (CA-ANN) method. Land use data from 2014, 2019, and 2024 were assessed for suitability through overlaying with RDTR maps and predicted land use suitability in 2029. The results showed that land use changes that occurred in Yogyakarta City in 2014-2019 were in accordance with the direction of the spatial pattern with a suitability of ±93%. The level of land use suitability to RDTR increased from 2019 to 2024. Predictions of land use conformity in 2029 show an increasing trend of suitability. Keywords: land use, RDTR, suitability, predictions, CA-ANN
