Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of land acquisition on the social and economic conditions of the community due to the construction of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Train (KCJB) in Tegalluar Village, Bojongsoang District, Bandung Regency. The background of this research is based on the importance of understanding the positive and negative impacts of large-scale infrastructure projects on surrounding communities, particularly in the context of social and economic changes. The objective is to identify these impacts and provide solutions to the challenges faced by the community in adapting to the changes. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews with key informants, field observations, and document studies from relevant institutions such as the Bandung Regency Land Office and Tegalluar Village Office. Data analysis was conducted thematically to identify patterns and meanings of the impacts found. The results indicate that the KCJB construction brought positive impacts such as improved accessibility, new job opportunities, and local economic growth. However, negative impacts like the loss of agricultural land, environmental discomfort, and social inequality also emerged. Key challenges include the community's limited skills and inadequate supporting infrastructure. Proposed solutions include skill training, infrastructure improvements, and community assistance. In conclusion, land acquisition for KCJB must be balanced with community empowerment programs to maximize benefits and mitigate negative impacts.
