Abstract

Infrastructure development, particularly toll roads, has become a national priority, resulting in the need for land acquisition and compensation for affected communities. This study aims to examine how compensation funds are utilized by residents of Cipinang Melayu Urban Village affected by the Bekasi-Cawang-Kampung Melayu Toll Road project, as well as to identify the factors influencing their use and the impact on the socio-economic conditions of the entitled parties. The research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document studies involving compensation recipients and related stakeholders. The findings show that compensation funds are used for various purposes such as consumption, home renovation, and vehicle purchases. Factors influencing the use of the funds include education level, type of employment, and the amount of money received, among others.
