Abstract
Tourism is one of the strategic sectors that supports regional economic development, particularly in the City of Yogyakarta, which possesses various cultural, historical, educational, and community-based tourist attractions. Information regarding tourist destinations has generally been limited to location and destination descriptions, while information concerning land tenure patterns, an important aspect of tourism management, has not been comprehensively integrated. This condition highlights the need for a web-based Geographic Information System (WebGIS) capable of presenting spatial information on tourist attractions along with land tenure information interactively. This study aims to develop a WebGIS that presents the spatial distribution of tourist attractions together with land tenure information and to describe the land tenure patterns of tourist attractions in the City of Yogyakarta. This study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method consisting of needs analysis, system design, implementation, system testing, and evaluation. The research utilized primary data collected through observation, documentation, and questionnaires, as well as secondary data including tourism data, spatial data, and land tenure information obtained from related institutions. The system was developed using PHP, CSS, JavaScript, Leaflet, and Mysql technologies. Functional testing was conducted using the Black box testing method, while user evaluation was carried out using a Likert scale covering effectiveness, efficiency, usability, and user satisfaction. The results indicate that the developed WebGIS successfully presents spatial information on tourist attractions together with supporting attributes, including tourism category, land area, land rights, land manager, ownership status, land certificate status, and annual visitor statistics. Based on the Black box testing results, all system functions operated properly according to the specified functional requirements. User evaluation produced an overall average score of 4.54, categorized as Very Satisfied, indicating that the system is effective, efficient, user-friendly, and capable of meeting user needs. Furthermore, the study identified that tourist attractions in Yogyakarta are managed by various stakeholders, including the Yogyakarta Sultanate, central government, local government, religious organizations, foundations, universities, enterprises, and community groups, with community groups managing the largest proportion of tourist attractions. Therefore, the developed WebGIS can serve as an integrated spatial information platform to support the dissemination of tourism and land administration information in the City of Yogyakarta. Keywords: WebGIS, Geographic Information System, tourist attractions, land tenure, Yogyakarta City.
