Abstract

Land book archives are essential in land administration because they contain physical and legal information on registered land parcels. At the Kudus Regency Land Office, the management of land book archives and borrowing activities is still carried out manually using handwritten records and physical storage. This process causes several problems, including slow document retrieval, unorganized borrowing records, limited monitoring of archive conditions, and a higher risk of data entry errors. This study aims to design a web-based information system to improve the management of land book archives and support borrowing and returning processes. The system was developed through requirement analysis and modeled using Unified Modeling Language (UML), including Use Case, Activity, Sequence, and Class Diagrams, while the database was designed using an Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD). The proposed system provides features for login, land book management, employee management, borrowing and returning transactions, archive status monitoring, and logout. System functionality was evaluated using Black Box Testing. The results show that the designed system supports efficient archive management and successfully performs all major functions according to the testing scenarios. The system accurately processes user inputs and produces the expected outputs for document searches, borrowing and returning records, and archive status updates.
