Abstract

The low level of public interest in obtaining land certificates remains a challenge to achieving legal certainty of land ownership. One of the factors presumed to influence this condition is public perception of land administration services. This study aims to analyze the influence of public perception on interest in obtaining land certificates in Juli Seutuy Village, Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province. The study employed a quantitative approach with an associative research design. 51 respondents were selected using the simple random sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and simple linear regression. The results indicate that the level of public interest in obtaining land certificates falls within the good category. Hypothesis testing revealed that public perception has a positive and significant influence on public interest in obtaining land certificates, with a significance value of 0.004 (p < 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R2) was 0.159, indicating that public perception explains 15.9% of the variation in public interest, while the remaining 84.1% is influenced by other factors outside the research model. These findings suggest that improving service quality, simplifying procedures, providing clear information, and enhancing service accessibility can increase public interest in obtaining land certificates.
