Abstract
The development of PON XX facilities in Nolokla Village brought changes to the lives of the Morouw-Ohey Indigenous Community, which has a history of land use in the area. This study aims to analyze the economic and social impacts experienced by the community following the development of the PON XX facilities. This study employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation involving members of the Indigenous Community, Morouw-Ohey traditional leaders, and representatives of the Jayapura Regency Land Office. The findings indicate changes in the community’s economic and social conditions. Economically, the changes were reflected in the informants’ livelihoods and income following the emergence of employment opportunities around Lukas Enembe Stadium. Socially, the development was followed by changes in community activities, dynamics in relations between the community and the government, and shifts in how the community used and perceived the land. During the initial stage of development, tensions occurred, including the blocking of access to the stadium area. Following the development, some community members began to benefit from new opportunities and adapted to changes in land use. Keywords: economic impact, social impact, Indigenous Community, development, PON XX.
