Abstract

Digital transformation in the land sector through electronic certificates issued by the Ministry of ATR/BPN aims to improve efficiency, transparency, and security in land services. However, rising cases of data breaches in Indonesia have heightened public concern over digital data security, including electronic certificates. This study analyzes public trust among residents of Bantas Village, East Selemadeg District, Tabanan Regency, toward data security of electronic certificates, and identifies the strongest and weakest indicators shaping that trust. Using a descriptive quantitative method with purposive sampling of 30 respondents, data were collected via a closed questionnaire on a 1–5 Likert scale covering four indicators: confidentiality, integrity, authenticity, and data protection. Data were analyzed using validity and reliability tests (SPSS 25) and mean score interpretation. Results show overall public trust falls into the "Trust" category, with Integrity, Authenticity, and Data Protection classified as "Trust," while Confidentiality fell into "Less Trust" (mean 3.32), the lowest score. Authenticity was the strongest indicator; Confidentiality the weakest. Strengthening access control, security systems, and public outreach on confidentiality is recommended.
