Abstract

Population growth without an even distribution of population will be a problem in the development of a city, one of which is the emergence of slums. The existence of slums has an impact on the quality of life of the community. One of the slum arrangements in Indonesia is done by improving the quality of slums through rejuvenation. Rejuvenation focuses on the transformation of the area as a whole, both in terms of physical, economic, social, and land legality. The purpose of this study is to determine the economic and social impacts arising from the implementation of the rejuvenation program for the community in Kampung Harmoni Semanggi. The method used in this research is qualitative method with descriptive analysis approach. The results show that the implementation of slum rejuvenation in Kampung Harmoni Semanggi is in accordance with Permen PUPR No. 14/PRT/M/2018, namely pre-construction, construction, and post-construction, with financing from CSR, APBD, and community self-help. Stakeholders consist of the government, private institutions, and the community; each plays a role in policy, funding, implementation, and supervision. Economically, there have been changes in income, employment, and asset ownership that are now more legal and permanent. Socially, community interaction has increased through various community activities and waste management has become more orderly and environmentally friendly.
