Abstract

This study discusses land use changes and infrastructure dynamics in Cibiru Hilir Village, Cileunyi Sub-district, Bandung Regency, as an impact of the development of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Rail Station in Tegalluar. The aim of this research is to examine the conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural uses and to analyze the dynamics of infrastructure within a 500-meter radius from the station site between 2019 and 2024. The research method used is qualitative with a spatial approach and descriptive analysis. Data were obtained through interpretation of Google Earth satellite imagery, field observations, and document studies from relevant agencies. The results show a decrease in agricultural land area from 212 hectares (69%) in 2019 to 181 hectares (59%) in 2024. Conversely, non-agricultural land increased from 100 hectares (31%) to 131 hectares (41%). In addition, there has been an increase in both the number and types of infrastructure such as roads, bridges, and other transportation facilities around the station. The conclusion of this study is that the development of the Jakarta–Bandung High-Speed Rail Station in Cibiru Hilir Village has caused significant changes in land use and infrastructure. Agricultural land has decreased, while non-agricultural land has expanded. Infrastructure such as roads, railway tracks, the station, and bus stops has increased, particularly around the station area. These changes indicate that the high-speed rail project is driving regional development but also reducing previously dominant agricultural areas.
