Abstract

Non-compliance with the minimum standard of 20 percent of Public Green Open Space (RTH) as mandated by Law Number 26 of 2007 concerning Spatial Planning has become a widespread structural problem in various Indonesian cities, including in the urban center of Klaten which only recorded an average availability of Public Green Open Space of ±2.67 percent. This study aims to determine the distribution pattern of Public Green Open Space and analyze the influence of area, population density, and distribution pattern of Public Green Open Space on its availability quantitatively-spatially in 27 villages/sub-districts spread across the Districts of North Klaten, Central Klaten, and South Klaten. Data were collected through document studies and observations, then analyzed using map digitization with ArcGIS 10.8, the Average Nearest Neighbor (ANN) method for spatial distri-bution patterns, and multiple linear regression, F Test, and T-test for hypothesis testing. The results show that the overall distribution pattern of Public Green Open Space is clustered with a Nearest Neighbor Ratio (NNR) value of 0.563 (p = 0.000). The regression model produced an Adjusted R² of 0.623, with population density as the only variable that had a significant partial and positive effect (t = 3.976; p = 0.001).
