Abstract
The installation of land boundary markers is an effort to realize the legal certainty of the landowner and prevent land conflicts. However, in reality, many people still have not installed boundary markers on their land. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the lack of installation of land boundary markers, the impacts that occur due to the absence of land boundary markers, and the solutions provided to overcome this problem in Jagoan Village, Sambi District, Boyolali Regency. The study used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Where data collection used interviews, observations and studies of existing documents. This information consisted of employees of the Boyolali Regency Land Office, the Jagoan Village Government, Notaries/PPAT/PPATS in Sambi District, and the Jagoan Village community. The data obtained were analyzed to obtain the results of the discussion. The results of this study indicate that there are three factors that influence the lack of installation of land boundary markers, including legal, social, and economic factors. The legal factor is the lack of public understanding regarding boundary marking regulations. The social factor is the community's habit of making natural boundaries into land boundaries. Economic factors stem from the assumption that installing markers requires the involvement of surveyors and the purchase of markers. Legal impacts include disputes, boundary conflicts, and encroachment or misuse of land boundaries. Social impacts include disrupted community communication, decreased trust, and ongoing conflict. Economic impacts include declining land values, preventing communities from maximizing their use of the land.
