Abstract

Spatial sovereignty and women's sovereignty over land are important issues because women still face limited access, control, and participation in the management of agrarian resources. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of the Solidaritas Perempuan Kinasih movement, women's understanding of sovereignty over space and land, the forms of advocacy carried out, and the movement network built. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with life history techniques, in-depth interviews, observation, documentation, and document studies. The results show that SP Kinasih is a feminist-based women's movement organization that fights for spatial sovereignty and women's sovereignty over land through organizing, policy advocacy, public campaigns, dialogues, hearings, demonstrations, and public discussions. Women interpret sovereignty over space and land as the right to access, manage, control, and determine the use of resources related to their lives. In addition, SP Kinasih builds movement networks with various organizations and communities, including the Kelompok Perempuan Petani Karisma, which contributes to increasing women's knowledge, skills, self-confidence, economic independence, and solidarity. The research findings indicate that organizing, advocacy, and movement networks play a significant role in strengthening women's positions as subjects with sovereignty over space and land.
