Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the SITATA (Sistem Informasi Validasi Tanah Kita / Our Land Validation Information System) application in reducing data input errors at the Land Office of Parigi Moutong Regency. It is based on the author's personal experience observing the increasing number of data input errors that occurred in the PTSL (Program Pendaftaran Tanah Sistematis Lengkap / Complete Systematic Land Registration Program) in 2025. The SITATA application has had a positive impact on the input process, as well as on the officers handling data entry, supported by several contributing factors. The research used a descriptive qualitative case study approach. Data were collected through interviews, documentation, and document analysis involving PTSL data input officers, SITATA operators, PTSL coordinators, and relevant section heads. The findings show that before SITATA, data input relied mainly on manual checking through matrix data, databases, and previous applications, which created risks of identity, juridical, physical, and administrative errors. After SITATA was implemented, data input became more controlled through digital validation, validity indicators, textual checking, floating checks, and dashboard-based completeness review. SITATA helped reduce errors qualitatively, improve data consistency, and strengthen layered supervision. However, manual checking remains necessary because the system cannot fully detect textual and substantive errors. The effectiveness of SITATA depends on user competence, training, coordination, workload, work culture, leadership support, server stability, internet access, and application updates..
