Abstract

The business-to-business (B2B) development of Dhoho Airport in Kediri has created dynamics in compensation, primarily due to the involvement of third parties (intermediaries) and the lack of information received by affected communities. This study aims to analyze the significant impact of compensation on community satisfaction and examine the role of third parties in the land acquisition process for Dhoho Airport. The research used an associative quantitative and descriptive qualitative approach. Quantitative data were obtained through questionnaires from affected communities in villages surrounding the airport and analyzed using simple linear regression. Qualitative data were collected through interviews with relevant parties to examine the role of intermediaries in B2B mechanisms. The results of the study indicate that compensation has a positive and significant effect on community satisfaction, with a coefficient of determination of 43.6%. Satisfaction is also influenced by information transparency, differences in compensation values, historical land values, and development impacts. Third parties play a role in price negotiations, information dissemination, and land identification, so increased transparency, communication, and oversight are needed to ensure a fairer land acquisition process and increase community satisfaction. Keywords: compensation, community satisfaction, and business to business
